I usually walk in the morning. It's a great way to clear the head and get the blood flowing and it always energises me.
For various reasons, I didn't go for my usual morning walk and suffered the consequences for the rest of the day. I was definitely lacking energy and relying a bit too much on coffee to keep going. So when I got home from work, instead of collapsing on the couch as soon as I walked in the door, as every particle of my body was telling me to do, I went for a lovely afternoon walk.
It was such a perfect afternoon. Warm and sunny and glowing with autumn colours. There were so many birds around - most of them doing a mad and noisy dash around before settling for the night.
Unfortunately, the side effect of this late afternoon walk is that I have my second wind at the wrong end of the day! Looks like I'll be making the most of this evening's energy by doing a few thrilling household chores. At least if it's done now, there will be more free time on the weekend!
