Wedding bliss....

It was a perfectly lovely wedding and my darling girl was the most beautiful, happy, serene bride.
Such a wonderful day.

Summer days, drifting away

 January. Nearly over already.

Went out for dinner with my girls before going to see "Grease".

What a show it was!

Visited a possible wedding venue with the newly-engaged couple.

Celebrated Australia Day in the usual fashion.

Consumed my weight in ice-cream during the heatwaves.

Witnessed a lot of this.

Our December

Not surprisingly, December was a busy month, both at home and work.

We celebrated our youngest girl successfully completing school with her Valedictory Dinner at a posh city venue.

December was all about the food, of course. This lovely spread at C's place on Christmas eve.

Everyone got a little carried away with the gift giving this year.

Christmas morning is still a joy, even with grown up kids.

Christmas day and Boxing day were spent catching up with family, eating, and laughing.

***
Best of all, after much secretive planning and scheming to ensure the maximum amount of surprise and romance, E's boyfriend proposed to her on New Years Eve, and she very happily and tearfully accepted. A perfect end to the year.

Cutie pie

On Saturday, J, Z and I went to a birthday party for the sweetest little one-year-old. My kids don't get to see their little cousins very often, so this was a real treat. So many cute babies and small children!
Even Z, who is not a fan of children, was completely smitten with the adorable birthday girl.

Golden Birthday

Our boy is now 21 and I can't believe it.

His party was a big success. Family, friends, and the birthday boy, had a great night.

 C created a fabulous triple-layered cake.

I took a few "before"shots of our party room (husband's usual retreat), and decking just prior to the guest's arrival.

Couldn't resist some morning after shots as well.

On the whole, the young ones actually managed to get most of the empties in the strategically placed recycling bin.

The only casualty - someone fell into the drinks bin.
No after after shots as yet. The area has been cleaned, but is still not neat and tidy. Might try to achieve that before Christmas....
