Wedding bliss....

It was a perfectly lovely wedding and my darling girl was the most beautiful, happy, serene bride.
Such a wonderful day.

It's been a long time....

I'm not really getting back into this - at least, I don't think I am. We'll see.

This is for N, who told me the other night she was always a bit disappointed every time she's checked here in the last year to see if I'd posted anything. That annoying seagull is not the first thing you'll see now!

This is also for my darling Eloise, who asked me a while ago if I'd blog about her wedding. Absolutely. It's the event of the year for our family and it's nearly here!

I can't really sum up an entire un-blogged year in one post so I'm just sharing a few random pictures from the last couple of months. Autumn is the best time after all.

Our December

Not surprisingly, December was a busy month, both at home and work.

We celebrated our youngest girl successfully completing school with her Valedictory Dinner at a posh city venue.

December was all about the food, of course. This lovely spread at C's place on Christmas eve.

Everyone got a little carried away with the gift giving this year.

Christmas morning is still a joy, even with grown up kids.

Christmas day and Boxing day were spent catching up with family, eating, and laughing.

Best of all, after much secretive planning and scheming to ensure the maximum amount of surprise and romance, E's boyfriend proposed to her on New Years Eve, and she very happily and tearfully accepted. A perfect end to the year.

Cutie pie

On Saturday, J, Z and I went to a birthday party for the sweetest little one-year-old. My kids don't get to see their little cousins very often, so this was a real treat. So many cute babies and small children!
Even Z, who is not a fan of children, was completely smitten with the adorable birthday girl.
