Cleaning

Joy of joys. Spent several hours looking for a Deb dress with an extremely hard-to-please sixteen year old. We went to five formal wear shops and she didn't even see anything she wanted to try on let alone buy. I fear this will be a long, tiring process.
Back home, it was time for a long overdue cleaning frenzy. Washed, scrubbed, dusted, vacuumed and mopped until I was about to collapse from exhaustion. Feeling quite satisfied now as I look around my clean and tidy house.

A pleasant beverage was consumed while preparing bolognese sauce for tonight's tea.

Husband has gone to bed early, C is out for dinner with friends, J and Z have both gone to friend's houses for the evening, and E has a friend here for a board game night. Very peaceful evening. I will now browse through today's newspapers and maybe watch a movie. If I can stay awake!


A block of chocolate would be nice, but grapes will do fine.
