Meg

Barely two months after losing our youngest cat,  Charlie , we have now lost our beloved Meg.
At nearly 12 years old, she had been with us for so long the kids can hardly recall a time when she wasn't around.

Meg was slightly off-colour from last Wednesday, resting quietly in her basket and barely eating or drinking. We eventually decided to take her to the vet yesterday, hoping it was just a minor ailment.
Hospitalisation overnight for rehydration, then x-rays, blood tests and an ultrasound all confimed the worst. She didn't have much time left and would continue to deteriorate over an undetermined period.
Our choices were to bring her home and watch this happen, or let her go today.
After discussing our options and shedding many tears, we said goodbye to Meg.

All of these photos are from previous years except for the last one which I took on Saturday.
Meg was such a quiet, gentle girl and we will all miss her terribly.
Hope she is having fun chasing her tail and catching butterflies wherever she is now.

I am so so sorry. I know just how deeply they wind their furry little paws deep into your heart strings.
