Apricots

Returned to the farm yesterday for more lovely fruit. (And, yes, it is called "Wild About Fruit" for those who asked!)
Today, C made the most delicious Apricot and Vanilla Bean Jam. We sampled it on crusty bread and later in little jam tarts. So good.

C also tried out the pasta machine we gave her for Christmas. She used Jamie Oliver recipes for the pasta and for a tomato sauce with meatballs. It all tasted wonderful and we will be looking forward to a repeat performance of this lovely meal.

Meanwhile, I braved the horrible humidity and transformed this little garden outside Z's room from this:
Into this:
Z had been complaining that she scratched herself on the overgrown rose bush and out of control raspberry plants everytime she exits her room via her window . Telling her not to do this does not work. She insists that this is the easiest way for her to get to the back yard. Anyway, this garden was definitely in need of a bit of a tidy and I managed to finish up about 2 seconds before a torrential downpour.

Awww, I love this set of cooking photos. The jams in jars one is my favorite but they're all nice.
