A movie and lunch

I'd wanted to see the movie "Hitchcock" ever since I found out it was being made. C was keen also but, amazingly, had never seen "Psycho", knowledge of which is essential in order to appreciate a movie about the making of "Psycho".
C finally watched "Psycho" towards the end of last year, so yesterday, off we went to see "Hitchcock".
We both enjoyed it, although it wasn't quite what we'd expected. We somehow had the impression it would focus more on the actual film production when it was really more about the relationship between Alfred Hitchcock (Anthony Hopkins) and his wife Alma (Helen Mirren).
We really enjoyed Scarlett Johansson's portrayal of Janet Leigh.

But of course, the undisputed star of the show, Helen Mirren, could do no wrong, and completely stole every scene in which she appeared.
Definitely an unusual movie, but worth seeing.

Afterwards, C and I went here for lunch.

Poached eggs with avocado and fetta mash.

French toast with poached plums, berries and yogurt.
Delicious.
